Service to the Community

Holy Rosary’s Food Pantry

Holy Rosary parishioners, and members of the Edgewater Community, provide food for persons and families in need. The Holy Rosary Food Pantry is available to any Edgewater resident, regardless of their religious beliefs. It is open on the last Tuesday of every month from 11 AM to 12 Noon.  The food pantry is located in the church hall, accessible at 56 Undercliff Avenue.

Non-perishable food donations are greatly appreciated.  Such items might include:  coffee/tea; peanut butter; jelly;  hot/cold cereal; soup; dry (powered) milk; canned vegetables; canned tuna; pasta; and sauce.

If you prefer, our new electronic donation tools make it simple and easy to make a monetary donation to our food pantry if providing physical goods is inconvenient. See the Online Giving page of this web site.

If there is an immediate need for food, please contact the parish staff at 201.945.6329.

Nursing Home Ministry

Father Jose is joined by two parishioners in ministering weekly to the folks in the local nursing home.

Feeding the Homeless

Holy Rosary volunteers join with Deacon Bob to feed the homeless under the auspices of Family Promise Center, at the Bergen County Homeless Shelter on River Street in Hackensack, NJ. Those who volunteer in this ministry participate every second Monday of the month. All help is needed!

If you would like to help, but do not have the time to share, a monetary donation would be appreciated.

Please contact the parish staff at 201.945.6329 and the staff will put you in touch with Beverly Schmidhamer.

Holy Rosary Stewardship Prayer

Lord God, You alone are the source of every good gift, or the vast array of our universe, and the mystery of every human life. We praise You and we thank You for Your great power and Your tender, faithful love. Everything we are and everything we have is Your gift, and after having created us, You have given us into the keeping of Christ.

Fill our minds with the truths of Your Son Jesus, and our hearts with His love, that in His Spirit we may be bonded together into a community of faith, a parish family, a caring people. In the name of the Spirit of Jesus, we commit ourselves to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, to share our time, our talent and our material gifts as an outward sign of the treasure we hold in Jesus. Amen.
